It organized the first course in pediatric nursing in cooperation with the Ministry of Health

The College of Nursing at the Arab American University held a special workshop entitled, "Development of Administrative Performance and Quality of Health Services provided in Hospitals and Primary Care," and targeted nursing managers and primary health care workers in the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The workshop aims to the scientific enrichment and to develop performance to the nursing category, and directors of nursing in hospitals of the Palestinian Ministry of Health.  The workshop covered the world’s International Administrative Performance metrics, and the world's leading standards for measuring quality performance in the universal hospitals.

On the sidelines of the workshop, there was graduation of students of the first course in pediatric nursing that was organized by the College of Nursing at the Arab American University in collaboration with the General Administration of Nursing at the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Dean of Nursing and Supportive Medical Sciences Dr. Mohammed Asia had said:  “18 nurses who work in public hospitals and medical centers, and who have come from different parts of the West Bank had participated in this workshop, and its duration was 30 hours.  The organization of this workshop was through joint work and an agreement between the College of Nursing and the General Management of Nursing, and this is the first time a Palestinian university conducts a special workshop to the category of nurses working in the Ministry of Health.

He explained, that the aim of the workshop is to enrich the nursing staff working in children's sections with advanced academic information, which increases the efficiency of work and provide better care for children in hospitals, noting that the college will organize advanced courses in intensive care and in pediatric nursing in the future.
