The Arab American University organized a workshop between the Nursing Department at Faculty of the Allied Medical Sciences and the Nursing trainers at the Palestinian Hospitals.
The workshop goals to introduce the trainers to the modern educational strategies that the university follows, in addition to the laboratory and educational equipment that exist at the nursing section and that enable students to graduate with high efficiency and good experience.
Professor Mahmoud AbuMwais explained the university’s purpose to develop all its departments and faculties with all academic and professional staff, and the needed educational equipment that will lead the university to a high level of education and creative way of thinking. He also added that the nursing department has been developed a lot recently, and the university is always ready to provide all needed sources.
Dr. Nitham Thiab, the vice-president to the community affairs asserted on the importance of the nursing department at the University, that has a good reputation internationally and regionally. The Ministry of Health representative Mr. Ayman Eénayeh praised the academic role that the university does in general, and the role of the nursing department in specific. He said that all the sections of the governmental hospitals help students to enhance their skills and abilities.
Dr. Mohammad Asia, the Head of the Nursing department at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences asserted on the importance of the scientific training that takes almost 70% of the student’s education in general, and indicated that they have made forms to evaluate students during the training period.
