Cyber Security

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security qualifies students to be part of the rapidly growing field of computer security, where students learn to design, apply and control the security of computer systems.

Students will learn how to develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in Cyber Security roles including work areas as a security designers, penetration detectors, information security specialists, and digital forensic officers. Starting with the basics, students will gain a broad understanding of the different levels of computer and network security. Besides learning of Secure Software Development (SecDevOps) in the field of Web and Mobile Apps, and Cloud Systems.

As their studies progress, students will explore the technical and logistical aspects of planning and implementing network security management and security systems development. Students will also learn how to investigate systems after they have been hacked, in addition to advanced fields.

The following points illustrate the uniqueness of the Bachelor of Cyber Security program taught at the Arab American University. Some of the program’s characteristics are:

  • This program offers a comprehensive bachelor's degree that addresses diverse areas of Cyber Security including network security, digital forensics, and information security management.
  • This program keeps pace with the most recent updates and addresses the latest areas of Cyber Security such as advanced network security, security systems development, penetration testing, and Internet of Things security.
