Arab American University announced the establishing of the Faculty of Data Sciences that is considered the first of its kind in the Arab World and among the first ten faculties globally.
The Data Sciences is one of the most important modern sciences in the world today and it is called “the science of the new century”. Many countries started opening Ministries for Data Sciences, and many countries have international councils and forums specialized in it. The science of the new century has some basic applications in health, business, politics, security and many other vital and different fields.
Arab American University was the first to start the first Master in Data Sciences and Business under collaboration with the University of L'Aquila- Italy as the program includes some Italian academics in addition to the qualified AAUP faculty members. Some students of this program have started working on their thesis in this field under supervision of both universities.
The Faculty of Data Sciences in AAUP has many programs that are offered jointly with other international and local organizations and universities, and all of these programs are the first of their kind in Palestine, including: the Bachelor in Data Sciences and Statistics under collaboration with the PBCS, Bachelor in Data Sciences and Finance, Master in Data Sciences and Business Analytics, Master in Data Sciences and Epidemiology, Master in Data Sciences and Public Health, in addition to the PhD in Data Sciences.
Arab American University aspires to make this Faculty and its students a bridge to transfer this modern science and knowledge from the world to Palestine and from Palestine to the whole world.
