AAUP Welcomes Assaf Minister in an Honoring Ceremony Two Journalist

AAUP President Prof. Ali Zaidan Abu Zuhri, welcomed the Minister Ahmad Assaf General Supervisor of the Official Media, in a ceremony honoring the two journalists and media professionals from Jerusalem and Jenin, in the presence of Jenin Governor Akram Rajoub, Jenin District Commander Mohammad Abu Haifa, and Secretary of Fatah in Jenin Mr. Atta Abu Rumaila, and Mr. Muotaz Ekmal.

During the meeting, Prof. Abu Zuhri introduced AAUP to the minister, and its academic and research achievements, infrastructure projects and the university's current and future plans to develop the educational process and develop quality programs to meet the needs of the Palestinian, Arab and international market and stay updated with the latest technologies.

The two journalists were honored in Jenin Governorate in the presence of students, Faculty members and administrative staff.

AAUP President Prof. Abu Zuhri started by thanking all the attendance and the journalists in practically for holding the truth and responsibility in transferring the news of the national and its institutions and the beautiful picture of Palestine, as he added that the journalist of Jenin are representatives of all Palestinian journalists.

As he added that due to your interests and concerns, along with the support of your institutions for showing the beauty of Palestine through highlighting the achievement of the national institutions such as AAUP, where we have reached to the success and progress of Leading faculties and programs in bachelor, master and doctorate degrees, and is now globally known. Creating partnerships and joint programs with other international universities.

As he added the AAUP is proud to gather all Palestinians in one university regardless of their diversity and their different living areas. as it also gathers Palestinians from all over the world and this is a typical model not like anywhere else.

Mr. Muotaz Ekmal said thanking the journalists, we know the risk and danger you face every day while delivering the truth and struggle of our people, adding that the journalists are also true soldiers in the field covering all the actions against the Palestinians. 

Minister Assaf expressed the uniqueness of the Palestinian journalists and their jobs for showing the struggles of our prisoners, exposing the ugliness of the occupation, as well as keeping up with the paths of the Palestinian struggle in all its forms. where they have shown that in Palestine there are hearts and minds full of love and freedom, and you have always been a model for rejecting injustice and fortifying human values.

He added, today we honor the journalists for their hard work, some of them has sacrificed for the sack of Palestine and were killed or sent to prison to convey the truth and suffering. the minister ended his speech by saying that the journalists are the voice of free Palestine.

MG Rajoub honors and praises all Palestinian journalists and media professionals, all Palestinian broadcasts and TV for supporting the Palestinian question and its people so that the whole world can see the injustice acts practiced by the occupation on our people and land.

The Palestinian journalist Christine Rinawi, delivered a speech on behalf of the honored journalists that their jobs as journalist is considered to be a leading national job to defend the rights of citizens and exposing the occupations activities against the citizens in Jerusalem, West Bank, Gaza and occupied territories in 1948 and all parts of the Palestinian diaspora.

A film was screened about the struggle of the late Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian struggle. after that the journalists were honored.
