Nellie Soudah spends her weekends studying to finish her MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
But Soudah is far removed from the campus' leafy, iconic Oak Grove and its Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. She's some 5,900 miles away in one of the most dangerous and politically contentious regions of the world.
 
Soudah is one of 43 students who will earn a master's degree in business administration in August as part of IUP's first graduating class at its offshore campus in the West Bank.

The Arab American University President, Professor Mhamoud AbuMwais, the Head of the Board of Directors at KIA Motors Company Mr. Muhannad Al-Masri and Head of the Employee Union at the University Mr. Saleh Affaneh commenced a KIA Motors fair that was organized under an agreement between the Company and the Employee Union to provide a car marketing service to the Employees of the Arab American University.

The Arabic Language and Media Department at the Arab American University and under cooperation with the Vice-President office for the Community Affairs arranged a training workshop about producing documentary films. The training occurred at the training hall at the continuing education centre and the trainer was Mustafa Aziza, the documentary films producer.

The Deanship of Students’ Affairs at the University organized a guidance symposium for students about how to manage the psychological pressures, and hosted the physiologist Khader Rasras, the Lecturer at Birzeit University and the Educative Manager at the Rehabilitation and Treatment Centre for Torture Victims. This symposium aimed to aware and guide students about the sources of the psychological stresses and how to deal with it and get rid of it.

A group of the Arab American University students visited some patients at Jenin’s Governmental Hospital. This visit was organized by the Deanship of the Students’ Affairs under cooperation with the English Language Department to strengthen the connection with the local community.
The social worker at the Deanship of the students’ affairs Ms. Laila Herzallah indicated that the goal from this visit is to strengthen the relations between the students of the Social and Psychological Guidance Club and the patients of the hospital.
