Researcher Sari Hisham Abdallah, a student in Conflict Resolution and Development Program at Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended his master thesis, entitled “Review Israeli Actions Against Immovable Property in the Occupied West Bank and the International Criminal Court Potential Role”.

In his thesis, researcher referred to Israeli practices during the period from 13/6/2014, the date of commencement of court jurisdiction until 15/3/2017, referring to practices which included annexation and confiscation of land and settlement activities in the West Bank. Mentioning, four case studies; Settlement Division, Blue Line Group, Law of Annexation the Illegal Settlements and random settlements such as Amouna, near Ramallah city.

Researcher Abdulrahman Mohammad Nazzal Defense

Abdulrahman Mohammad Nazzal, a Conflict Resolution and Development program student at AAUJ Faculty of Graduate Studies, defended his master thesis titled “Transform the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict through Peaceful Popular Resistance”.

The researcher pointed that the thesis aimed to study the fundamental role of nonviolent popular resistance in transforming the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through every available peaceful mean and tool. He concluded, non-violent resistance have different definitions as international concept. The thesis indicates that there is a deep gap between peaceful resistance in the field on one hand and decision-makers on the other.
