Faculty of Law at the Arab American University in partnership with Women's Affairs Commission and in coordination with Family Protection Department at the Palestinian Police, held a workshop to discuss the draft of family domestic-violence protection law that was attended by group of college students.

Coordinator of the Women Affairs Committee in the North Mrs. Eman Nazzal started by welcoming the audience and thanked both Arab American University for their cooperation and hosting the workshop and Palestinian Police family protection department for their participation. She talked about women's affairs team, stressing it’s a coalition that includes women's frameworks and independent women. Founded in 1992 and seeks to create a free democratic society that guarantees pluralism, social justice and equality to make Palestine violence-free.

Faculty of Arts at the Arab American University organized a workshop on journalists’ safety during events coverage, targeting the Arabic Language and Media Department students. Hosting the Palestinian Police Spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Loay Erziqat in presence of the Public Relations Director in Jenin Police Lieutenant Colonel Aous Atyani.

The workshop was started by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Marwan Abu Al-Rob speech, welcoming the attendees and stressing on the workshop importance to benefit students during involvement in journalism after graduation.

Police spokesman Loay Erziqat stressed on the journalist important role in conveying the Palestinian people image and message to the world. Pointing, it’s a job of troubles. He explained, a policeman has a role to fulfill so as the journalist.

Part of conducting interviews with students for training and employment

The Hassib Sabbagh Center for IT Excellence at AAUJ organized a workshop entitled “The Palestinian Labor Market Challenges” in cooperation with Transcend, in presence of Hassib Sabbagh Center Director Alaa Hattab, Director of Transcend Company Engineer Thaer Al-Aiaseh, and Human Resources Manager Shadi Hamadneh.

Director of Hassib Sabbagh Center Alaa Hattab started it with a welcoming speech. Stressing on its importance to inform students about the essential skills they must possess during applying for work in Palestinian market. He praised Transcend role in developing job opportunities for students and graduates. Also mentioned that the signed MoU means the two parties will train 24 students, selected according to agreed criteria.
