Part of the Workshop

The University and the Palestinian Medical Relief Society organized an awareness- workshop on the annual detection of breast cancer, entitled "Check Now, hope and Safety" in cooperation with Al-Matala Hospital.

The Dean of the Faculties of Allied Medical Sciences and Nursing, Dr. Mohammed Asia, attended the workshop along with the Director of the Palestinian Medical Relief Society in Jenin, Jamil Al-Hamad, the representative of Al-Mutala hospital in Jerusalem Dr. Ahmed Abu Halawa, and the Director of Women's Health Programs in Medical Relief Dr. Khadija Jarrar.

The activities were launched by a marching show involving the Zababda marching team, which toured around the university. Where banners were raised emphasize the need to check and detect earlier breast cancer.

Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the University

The Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences at the Arab American University held a workshop for its Accounting Department students on “Accounting Updates in the Palestinian Environment”

It was presented by Director of Value Added Tax, Customs and Excise in Jenin, Nour Aldeen Mansour and Head of the Accountants Syndicate Mohamed Abu Hazeem.

The workshop included some accounting topics related to taxes and arranging the accounting profession in Palestine.

From the workshop

The Arab American University hosted a specialized workshop in data analysis organized by the Palestinian Telecommunications Company PALTEL and presented by Wael Abu Rizq, a specialist in data analysis at the Telecommunications Company, in the presence of a group of students and professors of the faculties of administrative and financial sciences and engineering and information technology.

During the workshop, Abu Rizk said: “The world of data analysis and exploration is not limited to the business world, but can also be used in all fields of service as it permeates in all the daily life areas. The future will rely heavily on data and analyzing it as it will facilitate institutions work and help in developing them.”

He added, PALTEL is the pioneer in the ICT sector in Palestine. It always takes it upon itself to make university students aware of the background of the data analysis world and linking it to the companies’ business life.
