The Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Bara Asfour, with the presence of the General Manager of the Arab American University Company, Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, the Dean of the faculty of Graduate Studies, Dr. Nouar Qutob, the Dean of the faculty of Data Sciences, Dr. Majdi Owda, the Dean of the Faculty of Modern Sciences, Dr. Islam Amro, and Mr. Qais Obaid, received from The Communication Office, and Mr. Mamoun Salah El-Din from the Administrative Affairs Office, a delegation from Jerusalem Governorate represented by the Director of the Office of the Governor of the Jerusalem Governorate, Mr. Zakaria Fiala, and the heads of parents’ councils in Qalandia Camp and Kafr Aqab as well as school principals and mayors.
During the meeting, after praising the steadfastness of the Jerusalemite youth, the university announced allocation of 50% scholarships to obtain a bachelor’s degree for Jerusalem students in schools of the Directorate of Education in Jerusalem, the Directorate of Jerusalem Suburbs, endowment schools, and private schools in Jerusalem. These scholarships are offered for a set of distinct and unique specializations on the university campus in Ramallah.
Thus, the specializations of Industrial Product Design, Virtual Reality Arts, Human Resources Management, financial Engineering, Statistics and Data Science, Data Science and Finance, Digital Economy, Land and Property Management, Digital Business Management, Technology Management and Leadership, Technology, Culture and Society, Communication and Social Media, Public Relations, Digital Media, Political Science and Digital Diplomacy, English Language, Law (Law – minor English), Digital Health, Virtual Reality Science are among those covered by the scholarships.
The Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Bara Asfour, confirmed that the specializations offered at the University are all recognized, accredited and enable students work in all countries, as well as pursue postgraduate studies.
It is worth noting that the University offers many scholarships and financial aids in its endeavor, by all available means, to support students, especially the distinguished ones. The University also aims to encourage students to achieve their dreams of pursuing their university studies, in addition to providing financial aids to the needy students.
