A European Union Delegation Visits AAUP and the Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence in Jenin

The Head of the Economic Development Sector at the European Union Representative Office in Jerusalem, Ms. Sophie Otti, and her accompanying delegation, have visited the Arab American University and the Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence at the University. This visit aimed at discussing ways of joint cooperation between the two parties. The delegation was received by the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muayad Abusaa, member of the Board of Directors of Hassib Sabbagh, Mr. Sami Awad, and the General Director of the Center, Engineer Mays Awwad.

The European delegation included the Director of Investment and Entrepreneurship Programs Mitya Jorginbauer, Director of the Economic Flexibility and Green Economy Program Johnny Basil, and Investment Advisor, Chris Zaknoun.

The AAUP Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence Organizes a Drawing Exhibition Titled “The Scene shall Not Be Gotten Used to by Us”

The Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence at the Arab American University, in partnership with the Tamer Foundation for Community Education, organized a drawing exhibition titled “The Scene Shall not be Gotten Used to by us,” from the texts of “What Happened After Eid.” In the exhibition, paintings drawn by Gaza children were displayed in which they expressed their suffering in the Strip during the Israeli bombing over Eid al-Fitr in 2021 within the course of creative writing.

The Arab American University Implements a Program for Building Personal and Life Skills Using Artificial Intelligence Techniques

Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence at the Arab American University, in cooperation with the British Otermans Institute, implemented a program for building personal and life skills using artificial intelligence techniques. This program targeted the University students and focused on refining life and personal skills through innovative learning methods, which gave it an exceptional and distinct character.

Engineer Mays Awad, Director General of the Hassib Sabbagh IT Center of Excellence, explained that the program aimed to provide the students of the Arab American University with twenty-first century skills, with a prominent focus on investing in artificial intelligence techniques to improve the quality of education by providing innovative digital interactive sessions and realistic practical tests, including direct assessment for achievement and progress of the trainee students as well as following up on them.
