The Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University has held a workshop on scientific research skills for its students on Jenin and Ramallah campuses with the presence of the Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs, Dr. Saja Nazzal.
The meeting was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine Surgeon, Dr. Malik Zaben. He pointed out the importance of scientific research and the need for students to possess its skills, especially in the medical field. This would enhance students’ opportunities for specialization and improve the quality of the services they provide to patients.
Dr. Duha Shellah, Research and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the Faculty and Executive Director of the Scientific Research Community Foundation in Palestine, began reviewing the objectives of the training program and its role in preparing students to implement their research projects and enhancing their opportunities for research exchange and representing the University regionally and internationally. Dr. Shellah explained that this program will continue over the spring and summer semesters. It will be held along with the “Journal Club” and “Evidence based discussions” sessions, allowing students to acquire more scientific research skills.
