A group of first-year medical students at the Arab American University - Ramallah Campus presented various medical problems from a physical and medical perspective, as part of the medical physics course with Dr. Sufyan Shehadeh, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Modern Sciences.
The event took place in the presence of Dr. Feras Abujaber, Assistant to the Academic Vice President for the Ramallah Campus, Dr. Sondos Shalabi, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Medicine on Ramallah Campus, Dr. Thabat Al-Khatib, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Modern Sciences, and Lecturer in the Physics Department, Ms. Walaa Ghannam in addition to a number of students. .
During the presentations, the students discussed various topics including: balance, spinal problems, the role of prosthetics, and the effects of deep diving on the body’s organs: the lungs, nose, and ears, atherosclerosis: its causes and ways of prevention, car accidents and ways of protection, cruciate ligament injury and ways of treatment.
In a separate context, a group of computer systems engineering students presented a presentation titled: “Simulating Projectiles Using a Programming Language,” jointly with the C++ course under the supervision of Dr. Gwainem Abu Mokho.
This event aimed to develop students’ skills in communication and presentations to enhance their understanding of the course and link it to different aspects of life.
