Activity

This local contest available for all students of Arab American University provides the opportunity to raise awareness in the local community of the importance of entrepreneurship and supporting the creative projects, as the participated teams competed to develop pioneering ideas for specialized smart phone applications in the medical and health sector.

Each participant team combines of at least two people and a maximum of four people, and winners will be rewarded cash prizes.

The activities were announced about in an opening session moderated by Ms. Marina Da’ibis – the Public Relations Officer in AAUP and attended by Dr. Seba Shank- the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, Mr. Hani Daraghmeh- the Director of the Art/Technical Department in the Directorate of Education in Jenin, Mr. Fadi Jumaa- the Public Relations Manager in AAUP, along with some staff and Faculty members of AAUP, representatives from the Directorate of Education in Jenin, Qabatya and Tubas, participated students and their supervising teachers. 

AAUP team participated in the activities that was organized by the Ministry of Education in Jenin Secondary Girls School in Jenin, Jaba’ Secondary Girls School in Qabatya, and Aqaba Secondary Girls School in Tubas.

The university team presented an introductory video about the university, its academic programs, its scholarships and the extracurricular activities that might interest high school students. Also the team gave the high school students some brochures about the university and answered students’ questions.
