During which it hosted the Shari’a Court Judge of Jenin

The Faculty of Law at the Arab American University organized for its students a seminar under the title of "Judiciary Shari'a ... its Provisions and Foundations of Application”, during which it hosted the Shari’a Court judge of Jenin Sheikh Saleh Mar’ee.

The symposium aims at bridging the gap between theoretical subjects and practicality, and to take advantage from the experiences of the Shari’a judges’, and identify the provisions of 'Shari’a judiciary' and the foundations of its applications.

“Tamayaz” group in the Arab American University implemented several community activities in different areas of Jenin region, in order to increase awareness of the group to the importance of youth role.

The events included: coating the wall of Burkin Girls' Secondary School, painted lines of pedestrians in front of schools in the town of Burkin, and organizing a day of joy and fun for the primary third-grade students at Jalqamus Girls' Secondary School, and a recreational activity for the eighth-grade students at Deir Abu Da’eef Girls’ Secondary School.

In reference to the clamour that has been deployed and traded through the means of social communications and some other news sites on the issue of ending the services of a newly appointed teacher at the university, the Arab-American University Administration clarifies the following:

  1. A video was posted on the social media for a student singing ‘Mawawil’ during the teacher’s lecture, while in turn the teacher was encouraging him and motivating the students to participate.
  2. This action is contrary to the University regulations and instructions, and to the sanctity of the teaching process, since this lecture is dedicated for teaching the International Accounting Course, not for a popular ‘Zajal’ or vocals.

Student researcher in the Graduate School of the Arab American University Bara’ Mjalli Jamil Abu-Khadra discussed her Master’s thesis in applied Mathematics Program titled “Reverse Integration Coefficient for Systems Level Polynomial Independent Differential."

Researcher Abu-Khadra discussed an analytical study on the integration coefficient of polynomial independents systems, as well as its relationship with the integration coefficient for differential equations class, and addressing some aspects of the integration question, and its relationship with the reverse coefficient integration for the systems.

A meeting held for the definition of grants in the British universities

The Arab American University hosted a delegation from the British Council, who visited the university to hold a meeting with academics, with the aim to provide definition about the scholarships of the Council in British universities.

The visiting delegation included the Director of Examination Section and Public Relation of the British Council Mr. Imad Qashou’, the Administrator of Grants Department at the Council Ms. Mirna Qassis, and they were welcomed by the Acting Rector Dr. Nizam Diab, and Vice President for Planning and Development Affairs Dr. Osama Salama, and Director of Public Relations Department at the University Mr. Fathi E’mour.

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the Arab American University reaped the second and fifth places in the entrepreneurial projects competition at its second session, which was organized by Creativity Foundation.

Two projects were selected from the university among the top five winning projects in the competition to be registered as emerging companies.

The projects that have been selected are the project "Storyboardat" winning second place in the contest, which was under the supervision of Head of the IT department in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology Dr. Mohammed Mar’ei, with the participation of the students: Mohammed Naji Hanaysheh, Aseel Abu Arra, Safa’ Massad, and the representative of the private sector Professor Ahmed Nasser.

The Arab American University in Ramallah hosted the German director Robert Craig in a training workshop on "Documentary Filmmaking," which was attended by a group of young filmmakers, and the students and faculty members from the Department of Arabic Language and Media and the Department of Technology and Multi-Media at the university.

The Responsible of Archive in Palestine Television Rula Shahwan introduced the German director to the attendants, saying: "The director is one of the most supportive to the Palestinian Cause, and he has a wide range of technical contributions in this area, and he has a work experience exceeding thirty years in the field of filmmaking, and he came to our home country to participate in the Palestinian TV program named "Glare of Memory".

The Ministry of Culture organized a Palestinian Heritage day at the Arab American University aiming to revive and embody the image of heritage and to show the aspects of the Palestinian civilization in terms of time and location, and to recall the Palestinian narration and identity and its historical dimension.

It organized the first course in pediatric nursing in cooperation with the Ministry of Health

The College of Nursing at the Arab American University held a special workshop entitled, "Development of Administrative Performance and Quality of Health Services provided in Hospitals and Primary Care," and targeted nursing managers and primary health care workers in the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The workshop aims to the scientific enrichment and to develop performance to the nursing category, and directors of nursing in hospitals of the Palestinian Ministry of Health.  The workshop covered the world’s International Administrative Performance metrics, and the world's leading standards for measuring quality performance in the universal hospitals.

The Research Magazine of the Arab American University gets the first rank in the new report of the "Arab Impact Factor" for the classification of the most important magazines that are published in Arabic in the world, where the report showed that the university’s magazine got the ratio of 2.93, and it is the highest classification rank among the dozens of Arab scientific journals.

“The Arab Impact Factor” provides a quantitative and qualitative evaluation to the level of quality and sobriety for the Arab magazines specialized in all areas of knowledge, and this factor, is considered a measure to the importance of preciseness the scientific journals in their domain of research specialization, and it also reflects the extent those new researches refer and cite to the previous researches that were published earlier in that magazine, and therefore the magazine with a ‘high impact factor’ is considered more important and more dependent in the specialized scientific commun
