Arab American University Graduate Studies Faculty hosted The Freedom Theater School Manager Michaela Miranda in a lecture on the importance of Palestinian investment in National Identity for Conflicts Resolving and Development Master Program students.

The lecture focused on conservative national theater importance and its role in empowering national identity in switching conflict with occupation and the importance of Palestinian investment in culture as the local, regional and international changes are inconvenience for political investment especially under occupation, Palestinian internal political split and the chaos in neighboring Arab regions.

Arab American University’s Center of Continuing Education in partnership with Law Faculty concluded a training course entitled “Women Rights, Human Rights”, organized annually by Women’s Center for Legal Aid and Counselling.

The 4 days training with 18 participating students included a series of lectures, practical exercises and watching documentaries on gender concept, violence against women, international legitimacy for Human Rights, Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, Palestinian Penal Code, civil status records and the "CEDAW covenant" laws failure to protect domestic violence victims.

Arab American University launched its new Website which has distinct modern style reflecting its content to ensure easy use and information access, as part of university administration orientations to keep up with global technological development in the educational process.

University electronic programs Supervisor and the new website supervisor Eng. Bara Asfour explained that the website has been developed fully in the university through President Assistant for Information Technology Office and it’s characterized by supporting different tablets and smart devices, the data are updated automatically by linking them to university databases, and giving the website priority to be on top of search page when using the Google search engine to get published research on website

Arab American University celebrated its second cohort of students in the joint MBA program with Indiana University in Pennsylvania graduation, in a ceremony organized at AAUP headquarter in Ramallah under the auspices of its Trustees Board President Dr. Mohammed Shtayeh.

The ceremony attended by the University Administrative Board Chairman Dr. Yousef Asfour, University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, Indiana University Eberly College of Business and Information Technology Dean Dr. Robert Camp, coordinator of the joint MBA program with Arab American University Dr. Prachan Bahradawj, Academic Chancellor of Directors Board and founder President Dr. Waleed Deeb, Mr. Walid Afifi member of Trustees board and Directors board members Ms. Sabah Asfour, Mr. Ghalib Hafi, Mr. Osaid Asfour, Professor Bahaa Asfour and Mr. Bassam Dalbh.

AAUP made a unique achievement in Palestine, represents heart and breathing cardiac Center of Nursing College with a license from the American Heart Association, this achievement was crowned in the training session held by the University for all medical and nursing staff in Istishari Arab Hospital at its headquarters in Ramallah.

Nursing College opened in Arab American University headquarters in Ramallah. As the only authorized center by the American Heart Association AHA in northern Palestine, a specialized training course in cardiac, breathing resuscitation held for crews working in the Arab Consultative hospital.

First stages of training the hospital staff from intensive care sections, cardiac intensive care, internal, surgery, heart, newborn premature infants, emergency...etc. included training on cardiac resuscitation and Basic Life Support "BLS".

Arab American University debate team won first place at the first stage of Palestinian Universities Debate Championship. The competing universities teams were An-Najah University, Birzeit, Bethlehem and Arab American. It was organized and sponsored by Afkar organization for cultural and educational development.

Arab American University student team included Salsabeel Nawahda, Shahd Omari and Hasan Abu-Dokhan.

There were two controversial debates. Both Arab American University and Birzeit debated on “This board believes that the State shouldn’t have a formal role in media”, while both Bethlehem University and An-Najah debated on “This board believes that social security shouldn’t depend on individual’s income”.

Arab American University President Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri and director of the German Goethe Institute Laura Hertz has signed a MoU to teach German language courses for the Palestinian community.

The memorandum was signed in presence of the academic adviser of Arab American University Board of Directors Dr. Waleed Deeb and Administrative and Financial Affairs Assistant Mr. Faleh Abu Arra.

Students Affairs Deanship at the Arab American University held a lecture on "Impact of energy drinks and sports stimulants on students" in cooperation with the Sports Sciences department in the Art College. It all aims to educate students on the impact of these drinks and sports stimulants to student health. 

With the presence of dean of both Nursing and Supporting Medical Sciences colleges Dr. Mohammad Asia, Chairman of Sport Sciences department Dr. Samer Abo-Eid, lecturer at Sport Sciences department Dr. Maan Zakarneh and Social Specialist in Student Affairs Deanship Mrs. Laila Herzallah.

Arab American University-Jenin received a youth delegation comprising 40 people from 17 countries, in the first International Palestinian Youth Camp, which was organized by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports. The delegation visited the university in order to have an overview about it.

The delegation was received by the Director of Public Relations at the University; Mr. Fathi Aamor, the assistant of the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in the north; Mr. Yousef Al-Zoubi, the Representative of the General Directorate of Youth Affairs in the Council; Mr. Thaer Barghouti.
