The university achieves the highest success rate in the medical profession exams in the 48 Palestinian territories

Universities in the West Bank and Jordan ranked the top ratios in passing the recent medical exam, which its results showed concerning figures about the success rates of students in the former Soviet Union, according to the results of the Israeli Ministry of Health shown in the 48 news site that has submitted the last union exam, about 49 graduates studied at Al-Najah University in Nablus and Arab American University in Jenin did the union exam 46 of them passed the exam about 94%, and 33 graduates from Jordan did the exam and 30 of them passed the exam about 91% which are the highe

But for the concerning results, that was from the former Soviet Union which had the highest number of graduates who applied for the union's exam, and the lowest percentage of passing the exam. From Moldova where 299 graduates did the exam only 92 graduates succeeded about 31% meaning that more than two-thirds Moldova graduates failed in the exam. From Ukraine 251 of its graduates did the exam and only 65 of them passed about 26%. The same situation with Romania 244 graduates took the exam only 71 graduates passed about 29%.

From the event

The Arab American University Faculty of Nursing celebrated the International Nurses Day under the title “Supporting Thalassemia Patients”, in partnership with the Thalassemia Patients Friends Society and the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

Several events were held to celebrate the day, they included scientific and educational lectures, workshops, a campaign to collect blood donations for patients along with distributing leaflets.

From the training course

The Faculty of Nursing at the Arab American University in cooperation with the General Administration of Nursing at the Palestinian Health Ministry organized a training course for public and private hospitals nurses to increase their knowledge of the latest developments in nursing of intensive care, patient diagnosis and the way to treat them.

28 nurses from the Jenin Governmental Hospital, Tubas Governmental Hospital, Tulkarim Governmental Hospital, Qalqiliya Governmental Hospital, Rafidia Hospital and Nablus Specialist Hospital participated in the training.

The four-day intensive training course lasted 8 hours a day. The first assessment was for intensive care patients, special and critical patients, ECG reading and blood gases, treating patients who suffer from lack of salts and respiratory patients, and advanced artificial respiratory care.
