Today, the Arab American University hosted people from the neighboring villages and towns of Qabatiya, Zababda, Misliya, Raba and Jalqamous for a free medical day.
The free medical day for families included medical, advisory, and therapeutic services provided by brain, neurosurgery, and spine specialist Dr. Malik Zaben, orthopedic and joint surgery specialist, Dr. Imad Abu Al Rub, dental and maxillofacial surgery specialist, Dr. Mohammad Riyad Jaradat as well as Dr. Ahed Zakarneh.
The medical activity was inaugurated with verses from the Holy Qur’an, and a welcoming speech to the family attendees from the Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Dr. Mohammad Amro. He explained the services provided by the University Medical Rehabilitation Complex in all its sections and specializations. The Assistant to the President for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah conveyed Greetings from the University President, Professor Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri, to the attendees. She pointed out the importance of the University’s interest in building a strong relationship with the people in the area surrounding the University, strengthening these positive relationships and informing what the University provides in terms of community contributions and medical services. She stressed the importance of preserving this institution that serves our children and the future generations.
The Mayor of Zababda, Engineer Sami Saeed, delivered a speech of thanks and appreciation on behalf of the councils and municipalities, appreciating the role of the University represented in its great efforts in hosting such important activities. This is because such activities contribute to helping people and meeting their needs in light of these difficult living conditions.
Dr. Amer Al Jaroushi presented success stories of the treatments provided at the University. At the end of the meeting, the institutions that volunteered with the University during the medical days were honored.
