In the field for males, the university won first place with a total of 13 points. Similarly, the females’ team won first place in the field with a total of 17 points. In the track for female events, the university won second place with a total of 10 points.

The Arab American University students also received 24 gold, silver and bronze medals for their participation in the triathlon, long and high jumps, 800m, discs throw, shot put, javelin throw, 100m, 1500m and 400m.

 “The meeting with the Canadian University of Montreal delegation was positive and comes within the Arab American University initiative to improve the higher education level in Palestine and provide new specializations and academic programs to keep pace with globalization and openness to the world, through activating more joint master programs and provide students with everything new to fill the Palestinian market with modern sciences and skills”, said Dr. Erekat.

Today’s events started in the presence of the University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, his VPs for Academic Affairs Dr. Zaid Saleh, Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hazem Khanfar and his Assistant Eng. Bara Asfour, Faculty and Administrative Staff at the University and a group of the 1948 Palestinian Territories students and their families.

Dr. Jarrar mentioned the UN resolutions that emerged and evolved from the international organizations on sustainable development and social responsibility since 1989, embodied in the eight UN goals of the 2000 Plan. Thus developing the seventeen objectives adopted in 2015 for their 2030 Sustainable Development Plan and the United Nations role by announcing sport as a tool for community development and peacemaking through a 2016 decision that said it is a mean to achieve 2030 sustainable development goals.
