Defending Master Thesis on the Strategies to Reduce Unemployment in Palestine at Ramallah Campus

The student Wala Ghaleb Abu Seif, a student of Strategic Planning and Fundraising at the Arab American University faculty of graduate studies in Ramallah campus, discussed her thesis on “Strategic Goals to Reduce Unemployment in Palestine”.

In her thesis, the researcher discussed the unemployment impact on the Palestinian society. Focusing on important ways to reduce unemployment through fixing the educational system, agricultural sector, positive investment, and use external sources.

At the end, the committee of the thesis supervisor and head of the committee Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sadaqa, internal examiner from the Arab American University Dr. Majid Mansour, and the external examiner and director of the Agricultural Water Department Dr. Farah Sawafta decided to grant the student Wala Abu Seif a master thesis.

The University and the Galilee Society in the 1948 Palestinian Lands Discussing Scientific and Research Cooperation

Arab American University and The Galilee Society in the 1948 Palestinian Lands discussed ways of collaboration to sign MoU to hold education and health specialized lectures, participate in researches, studies and analyze them, engaging university students and faculty members in making researches, arrange scientific visits, and help master students in selecting thesis for vital studies.

The delegation which included The Galilee Society Director General Mr. Bakr Awawdeh, Director of the Society’s Institute for Applied Research Dr. Grace Gideon, member of the University’s Board of Trustees Mr. Walid Afifi, were welcomed by the University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zaidan Abu Zuhri, his VPs for Academic Affairs Dr. Zaki Saleh, Training and Community Service Affairs Dr. Nizam Diab, Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, Acting Dean of Scientific Research and Physics Professor at the University Dr. Adly Saleh, and PR Director Mr. Fathi Amor.

It is organized by the Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center at the Arab American University Ramallah campus. The activities included three sessions in which 12 local and international political and academic speakers participated.

The Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center at the Arab American University concluded its preparations for the first international conference under entitled “In light of the local, regional and international changes ... Palestine where to?” which will be held at the university's Ramallah campus, from 22-25 of this June.

The conference comes in harmony with the University's philosophy of positive interaction with national, social and political issues and the future of the conflict with Israel in light of the current local, regional and international contexts and variables. Thus, the Center invited some foreign politicians, analysts and academics to speak in its five sessions, present their views and contributions to the issues at hand.

Minister Saidam: Arab American University Keeps Surprising Us by Improving its Academic Level and International Developmental and Services Projects

Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Sabri Mamdouh Saidam, while opening the multipurpose sports hall and some medical centers in occupational and physical therapy at the Arab American University, said “The Arab American University is surprising us every year by improving its academic level through developing world-class specializations and programs needed in the Palestinian market.

The Arab American University constructed the largest multi-purpose gym in Palestine in accordance to the international standards with the university Board of Directors support. It’s built on a total area of ​​12,000 square meters, can accommodate up to 5,000 people, and includes classrooms, equipped gymnastics halls, squash courts, and various equipment for basketball, five-a-side football, handball, volleyball, tennis, taekwondo, karate and others.
