The Arab American University and Prime Company announced there would be a concert for Arab’s Idol Mohammed Assaf hosted by the Arab American University in its closed hall on August 11th.

The agreement was signed between AAUJ and Prime to host Mohammad Assaf’s concert at the university where Prime will organize and manage it. The University VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra and Prime’s General Manager Nader Abdulhadi signed it.

Prime Company soon will start the world-class concert preparations and starts selling the tickets.

The University Hosts President of Arab & Islamic Fund in Master Students Lecture

The university hosts the head of the Arab and Islamic funds in a lecture for Master’s students

The Arab American University Faculty of Graduate Studies at Ramallah campus hosted the head of the Arab and Islamic Fun, Minister Naser Qatami, in a lecture for writing project proposal course students of the strategic planning and the funds’ raising master program.

The hosting is part of the Faculty of Graduate Studies education policy to link the offered courses in various academic programs to reality and Palestinian market.

Minister Qatami gave a detailed explanation of the funds role in providing financial support for Palestinian projects’ proposals. Noting that 25% of the fund dedicated to the people of Jerusalem to face the racist occupation actions and talked about the Fund requirements in accepting project proposals.

“We are proud of this scientific edifice, which has demonstrated that Palestinian capital if it’s properly employed, can build a model state with will and patriotism,” said Palestinian police chief Major-General Hazem Attallah during his visit to the campus of the Arab American University in Ramallah. “To belong to these people and their sacrifices AAUJ, with its young age and great achievements is the biggest example of our ability to build the future with Palestinian human energies.

His visit to the campus came to learn about the university, its academic programs, and training centers, and to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in mutual interest. The Director General of Police came with his Adviser, Brigadier Jaber Asfour, chief of Police Director General Dr. Khaled Sabaten, director of the Academic Affairs Department Colonel Mansour Khuzaimia, and director of the guard department Colonel Nasser Abu Hanana.

A delegation from Al-Khan Al-Ahmar thanks the University for offering 10 scholarships to their children

A delegation from Al-Khan Al-Ahmar Bedouin community, threatened with demolition by the Israeli occupation authorities, thanked the Arab American University for offering 10 scholarships to their kids who wish to join the university to enhance their resilience to face the occupation practices. During their visit to the university the VP for Administrative Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra welcomed them.

The delegation expressed its gratitude for the University's initiative to provide scholarships to their Bedouin community youth. Stressing, this wasn’t surprising for a university that was able to gather the children of historic Palestine in one geographical spot by having nearly half of its students from the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories, to reinforce the Palestinian people’s unity and reflect the reality that we’re unified despite all the artificial boundaries imposed by the occupation.

The Arab American University participated in the 2nd International Students Festival for Short Films, which was organized in the Tunisian Nabil city with participation of several Arab, European, and Asian countries.

The university participation is part of the student cultural exchange between Palestine and Tunisia under the auspices of the Ministries of Education and Higher education in both countries and under the supervision of the Arab American University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zuhri and follow-up by Dean of the Faculty of Arts Dr. Marwan Abu-Rob and Chairman of Arabic Language and Media Dept. The delegation included Arab deputies from the 1948 Palestinian lands; Ayman Odeh, Mohamed Baraka, Massoud Ghanaim, Wael Yones, and Abdelhakim Haj Yahya, Arrabat Al-Batouf municipality mayor Ali Assi was welcomed by the university President, member of the University board of Directors Dr. Raed Dalbah, VP for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, president of the Student Union Council Ali Kameel, and the council member Tariq Kameel.

The Arab American University allocated scholarships for the Bedouin gatherings at Al-Khan Al-Ahmar area east to Jerusalem, who are threatened with demolition and being exiled from their lands by the Israeli occupation.

“The Chairman of the University Directors Board Dr. Yousef Asfour directions, 10 scholarships have been allocated to Bedouin community students at Al-Khan Al-Ahmar to enhance their determination and fortitude on the ground,” said the university president Prof. Dr. Ali Zidan Abu Zahri.
