Part of the Art show

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Arab American University in cooperation with Mahmoud Darwish Museum organized an open cultural day entitled "Almond Blossoms & Beyond" in the memorial of the poet Mahmoud Darwish.

The events launched with a cultural seminar presented by Dr. Mohammad Dawabshih from Faculty of Arts, he talked about the life of the Poet Darwish and assured the importance of this event, advising the students to read and know more about famous Palestinian figures noting that Darwish is a famous unique figure as he talked about his life stages which made him international.

The President of Arab American University Prof. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, welcomed the Deputy Director of General Intelligence Major General Azzam Zakarneh, who visited the university and gave a lecture to its students about the importance of student awareness to be updated with the latest technology and its challenges.

The Assistant President for Community Affairs Dr. Iyad Dalbeh, Dr. Jamal Hanishih, Mr. Ekamil, and the President of Student Council, and the coordinator of Al-Shabibih Movement and the Mufti Mohammad Salah Abu Saed also welcomed the Major General Azzam Zakarneh.

The University celebrates the first batch of Ph.D. students in business

The university at Ramallah campus celebrated the acceptance of the first batch of Ph.D students in business the first of its kind in Palestine with the joint cooperation of Indiana University , Pennsylvania – USA. The ceremony was sponsored by the Prime Minister – Designate of the State of Palestine Dr. Mohammad Ashtayyeh.

Part of the Ceremony

"Ana Jawwal" team at the university organized a closing ceremony of its training program, while competing for the first place in the program with the participated Palestinian universities.

The ceremony included contests where students participated in, awards were distributed to the winners. The ceremony also included artistic and entertainment activities, also many young students presented their talents and withdraw prizes.

The organizers of the ceremony praised the success of the ceremony, as the students commended the artistic and entertainment activities, and the representatives of Jawwal assured that the ceremony was unique and expressed their admiration the student’s interaction.

Researcher Hala Shalbaya a student in conflict resolution and development program

The researcher Hala Mohammed Abdel-Hafiz Shalbaya, a student in conflict resolution and development program at the faculty of graduate studies at the University Campus Ramallah, discussed her thesis entitled “Arresting Palestinian Children, the Dual Israeli Law, Discrimination by Nationality and Violation of Children's Rights in East Jerusalem - case study”

The researcher referred in her thesis to the children as "criminals" according to the Israeli narrative, and "the victims" according to other narratives, and "not classified" according to our novel, The chapters of the thesis focused on arresting, attacking and investigation.

The university hosts Palestinian universities on the guidance day for “Al-Injaz” high school students

The University in cooperation with the Ministry of Education & Higher Education, a Guidance day for “Al-Injaz” high school students, with the participation of 20 high educational institutions of Universities and colleges, and more than 3000 students from different schools from the directorates of education in Jenin, Tubas and Qabatiya.

The Guidance Day which was held at the sports hall in the university, was part of a meeting series organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in eight Palestinian governorates. The aim of this day is to introduce high school students to the specializations available in educational institutions and to help them choose the university and the appropriate specialization that suits their needs and the market needs.

Part of the Lecture

The University organized a lecture for its students about the Samaritan community living in Palestine, in order to introduce them to the oldest community in the world and their customs and traditions, hosted by the Samaritan community priest and director of the Samaritan Museum in Nablus the priest Husni Wassef.

The lecture was opened by the president assistant for Community Affairs Dr. Iyad Delbah, welcoming the attendees, as he pointed out that the Samaritan community is part of the Palestinian community, where in this lecture the students are introduced to the Samaritan community, their customs and traditions.

The University launches Erasmus project in Dublin, Ireland

The university launched Erasmus Project, where the Policy and Conflict Resolution Studies Center has won the Erasmus Project award under the title of “Strengthening National Research Capacity in Policy, Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation in cooperation with Palestinian and European universities”.

The first meeting for launching Erasmus project was held in Dublin in cooperation with Hebron and Islamic universities in Gaza, as well as the Friedrich Schiller University of Germany and the Trinity University of Ireland. The delegates discussed the projects and performance indicators for all activities, research and outputs that will emerge from the project.

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University hosted the 13th National Championship for Educational Robotics in Palestine, "First Lego" organized by Fiker institution entitle "Space", in which 30 teams of students participated from the Directorates of Education in the northern West Bank

The First Lego World Robotics Competition is a global scientific competition held in more than 88 countries in the world, and all teams deal with the same title and operate on the same standards. It is also one of the most exciting and fast-paced competitions. It is a combination of education and creativity, on the other hand it is designed for the age group of 9 years and up to 16 years old of school students, each team consists of "2 - 10" students in addition to the coach and supervisor.
